starstarstarstarI had moderate expectations as I had seen the reality audition show through to its conclusion and believed that the other semi finalist Rory would have been more suitable. That aside i tried to give Ben an open mind and wait and see how he coped with the big notes in Gethsemane and The Temple but I'm afraid the rigours of the tour appeared to be taking their toll, he didnt make them! Other aspects were fantastic though, the relevancy of the updated setting, Mel C was excellent and so was Pilot although i dont have his name. Thoroughly enjoyed overall. - Nick Warrington12 Oct 12
starstarstarstarstarEnough energy onn stage to power the whole of the national grid! But the real stars were the creative team in bring this production bang up to date. And can someone tell me what other show do you get the benefit of two leading men!? - Jeannie Jordan09 Oct 12
starstarstarstarBrilliant show - marred only by the fact that from where I and my friends were sitting (to the side lower tier. £55 tickets),the main part of the screen was blocked by a speaker which hang either side of the lighting rig. Ok if you are facing the stage! As the tour is in an arena, you rely on the screens to see the emotion and fine detail. I feel that as I didn't pay for a restricted view, the MENA should have made sure that these speakers weren't in the way. VERY disappointed as the tickets were purchased as Christmas presents for my friends. - ceri, rhuddlan09 Oct 12
starstarstarstarstarAwesome! Although the modern day setting takes a little getting used to, the cast contains some very powerful, excellent singers, non more so than Tim Minchin, as Judas. In fact, all the main cast members were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable performance, topped off with an appearance from Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. - A. Rust01 Oct 12
