Flawless Chekhov, delivered with delightful and surprising lightness, yet packing a mighty punch. Geraldine James and Al Weaver were a perfect mother-son duo, reflecting the intensity and twistedness of the Arkadina-Konstantin bond. The supporting cast were uniformly excellent, especially the wholly sympathetic, and recognisably multi-dimensional, Roger Lloyd Pack. The theme of unrequited love's ability to tear us apart has never been conveyed more humorously, incisively and tragically. - Steve

I've seen half a dozen Seagulls and this was the best of them. It's a hard play to get right, but there are only a few small flaws in this otherwise excellent production. So many insights and a deep understanding of Chekhov's world. One sore-thumb performance aside it's a great cast too. - Job

Thought this was a very refreshing production of the Seagull. Al Weaver, Roger Lloyd Pack and Geraldine James were superb. Very entertaining. - Stuart
