I agree with you on most of those points. I really do believe Adrian Lurkis was good among rather a dull interrpretations of the other characters. I did not enjoy this rendition of Hayfever sadly, and neither did the group of students i was with. I mean there were moments of slight comedy but nothing that would really make me laugh fully. - Beatrice

Was your reviewer at the same play as the rest of the audience? My group loved it. Very, very funny. Imrie brilliant. - Henry

I'm not sure if we were watching the same play! I thoroughly enjoyed sharing many laughs with the rest of the audience who seemed to be enjoying the show as much as I was. The set was beautiful and I thought the performances from all the actors were a credit to the show. Celia Imrie was hilarious and perfectly suited to the role. - Anna

I think most of the (very large)audience I was part of, judging by the laughter, found the play extremely, not "fairly" enjoyable and I overheard many favourable comments about the beautiful set, which enables the audience to see the guests creeping out unnoticed by the family. The width and height of the set (not wide open spaces!) also mean that those of us not sitting in the best seats, as critics always do, had a great view. Georgia Maguire's debut is very impressive and far from each being in their own different play, I thought she and Joshua McGuire portrayed their sibling rivalry wonderfully. Celia Imrie as Judith is hilarious, especially when (over) acting in her favourite bad play. - Kate
