starLeft a lot to be desired - Harry Altors22 May 10
starstarstarstarI thought it was fantastic. Very cleverly set without being gimmicky. The acting was brilliant especially the three main characters and it was a very imaginative set with wonderful lighting. The ifrst time I have seen Nsational Theatre for Scotland - hope it will be the first of many occasions. - Elizabeth22 May 10
starFRED is so right.I have the bad luck to have lived in Scotland all my life and unfortunately the great tradition of Scottish theatre is to sink everything to the lowest common denominator and sell the lie that everywhere's just like Glasgow. It's not and it aint "nice to be nice," either. Robs the magic and wonder, that's so true and not just with kids' plays. Chekhov or Euripides fare no better with so called poets or artists (who couldn't write F--- on a dusty blind) often desecrating the classics. The NTS is blindly carrying on this noble tradition. - coral19 May 10
starstarstarIt had its moments of magic, but I couldn't help wanting them to get a move on, it all seemed so laboured. Mrs Darling appearing in the trees and playing the recorder was also a bit random. Tinkerbell was very very well done though . - I Condie17 May 10
starstarstarstarstarIgnore the reader review from Fred - he didn't watch the whole show (he left at the interval). How can you judge something if you don't see it? This show is fantastic; full of ideas and exciting methods of storytelling. The flying is excellent! Great casting (in particular Peter and Hook) and the Lost boys are charming. There is a sadness to Pan - a damaged boy unable to receive love. Another moving, stirring piece from the National Theatre of Scotland. - Paul L Webster16 May 10
starI left at the interval. The production has robbed the play of its remarkable magic. I've nothing against moving the play to a different location or time from the original but there is no point if, by doing so, you lose the wonder of the original. - fred14 May 10
