starstarstarstarstarThe intimate surroundings make this a great venue. In this case the music and performance is good as well. - USER: Whatsonstage.com01 Sep 01
starstarstarstarstarFantastic! A great evening's entertainment that keeps you smiling and laughing from start to finish. Yes, the venue is small and the sets are simple, but the production and performances are terrific and the closely (but not uncomfortably) packed audience just adds to the zest. - USER: Whatsonstage.com08 Aug 01
starstarstarstarI saw Venus last night and entrely agree with the WOS review. The set may be tatty (as it usually is at the King's Head)but this is real musical theatre. It's funny, fast and above all, musical. And what a joy to hear really witty lyrics again! What a teriffic evening- a must for musical buffs and anyone who enjoys a joyous evening out. Go on Dan, transfer and be damned! - USER: Whatsonstage.com03 Aug 01
starstarstarstarstarTheatre as it should be -fun! The paper reviews so far share my opinion with the exception of the Times! He wrongly, in my opinion compared it with a lavish Broadway production of 58 years ago-please! He should have forgotten that and concentrated on the show in hand and reviewed it for what it was - a happy, witty entertaining production. The Evening Standard review was perfect. - USER: Whatsonstage.com02 Aug 01
