starstarstarstarI saw Zorro in the summer and found it a delightful surprise. Electrifying dancing, expecially Lesil Margherita, and the feel-good factor of a buzzing beat made for a hugely enjoyable musical. The story may not be up to much but Matt Rawle's matinee idol hero fits the piece like a leather glove. This could be the unexpected winner of the Best Musical Olivier Award. Marguerite (which I thought was marvellous)failed to find an audience and Jersey Boys, good as it is, is so last century. - DJ19 Jan 09
starstarstarstarSaw this show on a cold and cheerless Thursday night in January and was entranced. The music and dancing are superb, the sets and special effects spectacular and the performances from virtually all the cast a delight. They well deserved the standing ovation! My only reservation (which explains the 4 stars) is that I feel the Garrick's stage is just too small for this to expansive production. A larger stage would enable everyone to give their performaces full rein. - Sarah13 Jan 09
starstarstarGood fun, great music, inventive set, lively energetic dance routines, especially considering how cramped the space gets at time, and some charismatic performances - comic script, though not always intentional with this "translated" script! - DJ27 Nov 08
starstarstarstarstarEnjoyed every minute of this entertaining show. Amazing music, fabulous choreography, and brought all sorts of emotions to us. Sergeant Garcia and Inez made us laugh, as did a fabulous Diego (who was played by the understudy, not Matt Rawles). Cried at the sad parts, laughed at the funny parts, oo'd and ahh'd at the superb stunts and stage fighting. A brilliant night out that exceeded all expectations. - Jo Davidson11 Nov 08
starQuite honestly, this was terrible, one of the worst productions I have ever seen on the London stage. I actually thought Gone With The Wind was more entertaining, at least that maintained some integrity! A terrible show with some terrible performances. I can only feel sorry for the actors who have to do this every night! - Jon08 Nov 08
starstarstarstarstarAfter just 15 minutes in to the show my friend and I turned to each other and said "when are we coming again" absolutely loved everything about it especially Inez and the dancing. a truely fantastic musical night out. A must see at least once. - Yvie03 Oct 08
starstarstarI'm sure a lot of people were expecting Zorro to be another turkey like Gone With the Wind but it's proved to be the surprise of the Summer, although it is a very mixed bag. The dance routines are dramatic and very noisy, the illusions are clever and the sword fights impressive but the Garrick is too small for some of the show's attempts at spectacular stunts and parts of the story are indescribably ridiculous. The performances are similarly variable. Matt Rawle seems unhealthily pleased with himself and couldn't even be bothered to pretend to mime during the finale. Unfortunately Adam Levy reminded me of Dev from Corrie, which is not a good thing. Emma Williams looks and sounds like a Jane Austen character rather than a Spanish aristo but is a spirited if dumb heroine (how could she not realise Diego is Zorro?). Best by far was Lucy Lummis making the most of her opportunity to stand in as Inez. Zorro is good escapist fun but I'm glad we were there on a 2 for 1 offer. - David Baxter11 Sep 08
starstarstarstarI have seen the play two times and found it to be consistently great. Lusli Margarita reminds me of a young Rita Moreno, HOT HOT HOT. - Roger C08 Sep 08

starstarstarstarstarAt present ive seen this show 8 times and I can't get enough, the cast are superbly strong from Matt Rawle's sexy, myseterious charcter of Diego to the sweet, innocent and stunning vocals from Emma Williams (Luisa). The show has many highlights including the known song such a Baile Me, Djobi Djoba and Bomboleo. However we also have many new bueatiful balleds also composed by the gypsy kings including Falling and the man behind the mask. This show is total escapism from the pretty dull summer of england be transported to 1800's Spain and California and experience the very meaning of theatrical magic - the whole ensemble deserve to be acclaimed and lets wish luck for the production in the future whats on stage awards etc. Viva El Zorro !!!! a real gem of the west end :) - Daryl Collins31 Aug 08
starstarstarstarstarI expdcted Zorro to just be a fun, campy musical but I actually was pleasently surprised, yes it was fun and campy but it also had its dramatic moments particulary in Act 2. The songs are well performed and the dancing and stuntwork are absolutely incredible. Matt Rawle gave an outstanding performance as Diego aka Zorro. Adam Levy was superb playing the ruthless Ramon. I'd only seen Emma Williams on tv so I was very surprised when I found that had done theatre before. Indeed, she brings a sweetness, charm and most of all a beautiful voice to the role of Zorro's love interest, Luisa and of course Lesli Margarita was breathtaking in her stunning west end debut as the sultry gypsy queen Inez. Overall I loved this musical sure its no Le Miz or Phantom but Zorro is enchanting nonetheless and can be enjoyed by all members of the family young and old I would definately recommend it. - Naomi25 Aug 08
starstarstarstarOUTSTANDIND DANCING, SINGING, ACTION, AND GOOD HUMOUR COMBINE TO MAKE THIS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE AND THRILLING SHOW IN LONDON. AMAZING NON-STOP ENTERTAINMENT. THE STARS AND SUPPORTS PROVIDE BREATHLESS EXCITEMENT, AND THE MUSIC THROBS SUPERBLY. RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES.TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS - THEY WILL THANK YOU UNFORGETTABLY. - ALEX GREEN03 Aug 08
starstarstarstarSuperb! At last, a cast that can truly dance, sing and act. How often do you see a standing ovation on a wednesday night in the West End? Zorro deservedly received one last night. A couple of weak plot links are comletely overshadowed by the powerful singing, music, dancing and swordplay. Excellent. Go and see. - Stephen24 Jul 08
starstarstarstarstarAbsolutely outstanding entertainment.Don't dare miss it. - Steven Levinson23 Jul 08
starstarstarThe Flamenco was superb, the music awesome and the production was an overall fantastic. I came out of the theatre humming away to the music and it stayed with me for days. The cast was excellent, particularly Leslie Margherita, who played Inez, and Nick Cavaliere who played Sgt. Garcia. They had the most fun parts. There were a few glitches here and there but with another week of practice they will all but disappear. I would expect the production to only improve from here.... - es21 Jul 08

starstarstarstarstarThis was fun theatre with great performances, especially by Lesli Margherita. Some excellent dancing and a high energy production. We saw it early in its trials so I imagine they have made it even better. The audience was thoroughly engaged throughout the performance. - Joe W.20 Jul 08
starstarstarstarstarBy far the best new musical to hit London in a long time. A musical with a bit of everything and some impressive magic tricks and stunts to boot. Fantastic - well done to all involved. - BobbieT19 Jul 08

starstarstarstarstarFantastic Show....Music was fab as was the cast.... - JB Thomson17 Jul 08
starstarDon't mean to be different for the sake of it but the preview I saw was dreadful with the honourable exception of the flamenco troup and Lesli Margherita. The 'multiple' Zorro's in the fight scenes were very obvious from where I sat - the line about it being 'difficult to find 7 Zorro's' in Act II got a huge laugh for, I suspect, the wrong reason. They must really have pulled this together in the last couple of days if these comments are to be believed. When are we going to a good new musical? - Kevin McD17 Jul 08
starstarstarstarvery good fun. Music is a little dodgy, but funny and good cast - zahidf17 Jul 08
starstarstarstarUnexpectedly I loved this show! Congrats to everyone involved. Great book, wonderful score and some great performances especially from Lesli Margherita. - Mr H17 Jul 08
starstarstarstarstarA brilliant show, brought alive by wonderful performances from Matt Rawle and Lesli Margherita. - S. B.16 Jul 08
starstarstarstarI enjoyed this musical and Matt Rawle plays a excellent Zorro. This production could do with some tightening in places. The flamenco dance scences, Gypsy Kings music and swordplay are great. Well worth going to see. - ILS16 Jul 08
