starstarstarstarstarThis was an amazing show, Alan Cumming was simply memorising and the voices of The Bacchae were spine tingling. - SCR14 Sep 07
starstarstarstarWonderfully theatrical staging, though this does get in the way of the storytelling a bit. - Gareth James10 Sep 07
starstarstarstarAlan Cumming is simply sensational. A mesmerising performer, I found that every time he left the stage it were as if a light had gone out, and that wasn't the fault of the technicians, it was just the shere force of his personality. Nobody got a look in when he was on stage. I saw the Knee High production at the Lyric a few years ago and much preferred that. But Alan Cummings though is one of those performers who is gifted with star quality, and even if the production was schite, as he might say, it would still stand out for him alone. Please stay awhile and do more theatre here. - rds06 Sep 07
