starstarstarI hadn't intended to see this because I don't usually like ballet in modern dress but your review made me curious mainly of Pierrot Lunaire and La Fin Du Jour. Both were technically delightful and even Seven Deadly Sins won me over with it's combination of slick sets, raspy vocals (well done Martha!)and exciting steps. I'm really glad I went. - Sarah Grant06 May 07
starstarstarstarI'm a major Martha Wainwright fan and went to Seven Deadly Sins last night to see her. What a great context for her unique style. She was great, the dancers were great, the whole night was great. Anyone who hasn't seen Martha should go to this show and you'll love the ballet too. - Sam05 May 07
starstarstarstarstarI'm sick of opinionated reviews. Someone knowing nothing about everything telling me what to think. I really appreciate that this is an informative interpretation of the performance. I've been meaning to see it and this is the better review I've read since. More from this genre/journalist would be fantastic. - Adam Boys01 May 07
starstarstarstarstarHot girls with not much on moving like they do,what's not to like? First tijme I've been to the ballet (I prefer musicals but my flatmate have me a ticket) and I WILL go again. The bit with clowns was also really good but kind of sad. Seven Deadly Sins is a great night out even if you don't know much about ballet. - Allen30 Apr 07
starstarstarstarstari love the royal ballet and this will definitely stay one of my favourites for some time to come. go see it!!!! - Hope30 Apr 07
starstarstarThe sets were amazing (thanks again, Lez!), Zenaida Yanowsky never fails to engage and her symbiotic relationship with the singer was wonderful to watch, but what started as an interestingly choreographed piece quickly succumbed to repetitiveness and became boring. I couldn't really hear the words clearly though I had a middle of row K seat in the stalls, which means probably no-one could. And what was that thing in the sparkly silver dress who was part of the chorus? - Sygal30 Apr 07
starstarstarstarA triple bill of three quite different pieces which adds up to a great evening. For me, Seven Deadly Sins was the reason for going and if you're open-minded (not a balletomaine!) you will be richly rewarded by this thrilling cocktail of music, dance and design. Pierrot Lunaire is technically brilliant, but left this polymath a bit cold. La Fin Du Jour was a slight delight and a prefect ending. - Gareth James29 Apr 07
