starstarstarstarstarI went to see Mary Poppins for my tenth birthday and it was the best present I could have possibly asked for. Seeing a west end production is a real treat for me, but it is the thing I enjoy most in the whole world, so I had very high expectations when I walked into the Prince Edward Theatre and when I walked out I was definitely not disappointed; I was gobsmacked. :) - 81.153.181.20)09 May 10

starstarstara really good show! At the end , i wanted a hug from mary poppins, i was a chiiild looking for his "practically perfect" nanny!!!! it's so much better than the lion king evenif sometimes the stage looks empty. - morgan24 Oct 07
starstarstarstarstarSecond time seeing this show, and I was just as delighted with it. It's a magical piece. The principals were excellent (one of Lisa Hare's last performances) but the outstanding ensemble work is the heart of this production. They give it everything they have, and their individual detail is terrific - and always in service to the whole rather than "look at me!". It's an exceptional acheivement. I love it that the ensemble are all different shapes and sizes, too. This is absolutely top rank theatre. I'd happily see it again - polly carey21 May 07
starstarsaw it yesterday very low soound at times george banks and the children at times very hard to hear...some scenes i did not know from the film..the theatre was to hot......but mary poppins herself was superb in every way - mark willoughby23 Feb 07
starstarThe set was lovely, visual effects were of a high quality. The actors all did a good job (children were excellent and refreshingly less ‘stage school’ than the Von-Trapps) and the singing was great. So why the low score? In truth I do not know. The show seemed to tick all the boxes (with a better second half) but it didn’t blow me away in fact the breeze of delight it brought wouldn’t even get my kite off the ground! - Stuart18 Feb 07
