starstarstarI won tickets to see this and as a cliff fan I was really excited about going. It was hilarious for all the wrong reasons! Disappointing story-line, but the singers had brilliant voices. The girls were irritating and at times the dancers and backing singers, neither knew the words or the steps! I'm just glad I won the tickets and didn't pay for them! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.77.95.84)27 Apr 03
starAbsolute rubbish, the biggest waste of money ever...why isnt there a O star rating on here? I second the sentiments of a former reviewer: BRING RENT BACK!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.107.198.153)20 Apr 03
starstarstarstarstarIf you have any doubts about this show, go look up the "Cliff the Musical" official website and check out the gustbook. It is full of glowing letters of praise from people who have seen it. I have, too, several times and can highly recommend it. It is only booking to May 10th, so hurry up and book, or you will miss this treat. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)11 Apr 03
starstarstarstarI didn't want to go but had to olease the wife, (no we are not Cliff fans). Just a thouroughbly enjoyable evening, not Les Mis or even Taboo but just a fun night out. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (172.183.28.210)07 Apr 03
starstarstarstarstarIf press reports are to be believed, this should have been awful, but I took the chance and went anyway - SO glad I did, as it was a thoroughly enjoyable romp through all the great hits, extremely well done by all concerned. Try it, you may love it! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)04 Apr 03
starstarstarstarstarFab show, we all loved it. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)04 Apr 03
starstarstarstarstarI saw this Musical when it was at Chelmsford Essex. I have been a Cliff Fan since he started in 1958 and I thought this was brillant. I was worried before I saw it. People need to give it a chance and have a good nights entertainment. People that knock it will do so when it is anything to do with Cliff. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.225.52.162)29 Mar 03
starBring RENT back! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)24 Mar 03
starWorst musical i have ever seen. I thought i liked cliff music until i saw this musical. So tacky, You could be forgiven for thinking that you were entertained at butlins. How can anyone think this to a family show - my kids who have liked every musical we have seen and we have seen lots regreted coming out with me that evening. I think Even I could dance better than the dancers on stage. Cliff i think you deservew better and also why choose 4 cliff to play you? Go see it at your peril. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.77.132.3)22 Mar 03
starstarstarstarstarAt last - a show for the whole family. I loved it! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)21 Mar 03
starstarstarstarstarMy friend and I went to see the opening night, and we really enjoyed it all. It`s such a shame that there seem to be people out there who want to knock anything with Cliff Richards` name on it, as the music and dancing and sets are fab, and the audience were on their feet and dancing the whole evening. It`s well worth going to.(No, I am NOT a Cliff "groupie", just someone who enjoys the music.) - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)21 Mar 03
starstarstarstarstarI really loved this show. It is such fun, with colour and spectacle as well as the super music and dancing. I am going to go as often as I can while it is still in London. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)21 Mar 03
starstarstarstarstarGreat show, great music faithfully reproduced, good singing, great live band on-stage, good dancing, colourful, lively, up-tempo- in fact, a GREAT night out for all who choose to make up their own minds about it. What IS it with these negative critics? are they jealous, or merely bitter? Go see it, and enjoy! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)21 Mar 03
starstarThis show is a pleasure for diehard Cliff fans who want to relive the glorious music. The Shadows' hits also come off very well, with their plangent guitar sound and well-known stage movement faithfully reproduced. In the tech department, the lights are tastefully rock'n'roll and the costumes nicely evocative of the time. But dramatic it ain't. Jimmy Jermain's singing uncannily resembles the great one, and that is the best thing about this evening. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)18 Mar 03
starstarstarstarstarWhat a great night out, full of energy, affectionate jokes at the expense of the man himself and his earnest followers, not to mention the vivid and exciting stage set, fab dancing and singing! The place was simply rocking, and we all came out singing, dancing and smiling from ear to ear. A really fabulous pick-you-up show in the midst of a worried world. The actress who plays Sandra has a truly beautiful singing voice, also, which she displays well in her solo spot. I expect to see much more of her in the West End in the near future. Treat yourself to this show - its a fun and happy night out for everyone who enjoys music and laughter. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.13)15 Mar 03
starAbsolutely appalling. The one star is for the band. An insult. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.252.0.5)14 Mar 03
starWhy? Why, why, why? Why, why, why, why, why, why why? - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.162.118.1)14 Mar 03
starIf you see someone trying to buy a ticket for this show, physically restrain them if you have to. This show is Bad Bad Bad. Possibly the worst thing I have ever seen, on a stage. It has no merit whatsoever. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.193.222.20)14 Mar 03
starstarstarstarI saw this production in Sunderland but it is taking liberties to call itself a musical it is a fairly stylish revue. The production is an enjoyable romp through Cliff's back catalogue but don't expect any revealing insight into the life of Britain's most enduring pop star. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (128.240.229.6)10 Mar 03
