An evening that cannot be buttonholed. I heard one person say, "It's not standup, it's not comedy" - well, why shouldn't something break the mould?
These performers are more than moderately talented. The pianist does a mean take on Billy Joel and Elton Joel, the conjurer is marvellous and the comedian very funny. Yes, the Midwestern spoof goes on too long, but outside of that there is much to enjoy and laugh at. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.93.50.8)

I thought this was a truly awful piece of theatre from producers and marketers that really should know better. Most Londoners grow out of sitting through pantomime, except for when 'doing it for the kids', so why do we find ourselves cringing through magic shows, shadow puppets, sing-a-longs ('let's split you up into boys and girls!') etc. This might have been a perfect way for Joe Jr and his four wives from Hicksville to spend a quiet evening, but can we please have some genuinely amusing theatre on the London stage, instead of this nauseating rubbish? - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.25.98.88)

It's a funny old show. Part coedy, part magic, part cabaret. It certainly isn't theatre but it is good fun.
The series of sketches are patchy but the "bad" magic and the shadow puppets are hilarious. As is the Chariots of Fire "dream."
Fun for all the family, but don't sit in the first two rows if you don't want to get picked on. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.193.222.20)
