starstarstarstarstarA uniformly excellent cast make this play an intelligent and absorbing piece of theatre. If this play is not a success in London it will be a sad day, as this is serious theatre that is also highly entertaining. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (80.46.153.227)28 Sep 03
starstarstarstarstarWe shall certainly be coming back for more WOS outings after our wonderful experience of The Price last night. We left the production feeling incredibly exhilarated and so privileged to be able to enjoy such entertaining theatre. The post performance chance to meet the cast was the icing on the cake. We are recommending you to all our friends. Keep up the good work. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (194.73.44.247)25 Sep 03
starstarstarstarstarI heartily endorse the rave reviews for the play and cast from others on this list. I would also just like to add that I went to see The Price on a WOS outing and it was great. Not ony did I get a discount on a good ticket, but I met some other theatre goers (some quite "expert", others new to Miller's work like me!) got a free glass of wine (or two!) and - get this!! - got to shake hands with and chat to the cast, including the legendary Warren Mitchell. What a great night out! Thank you WOS! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.128.210.30)24 Sep 03
starstarstarstarstarA wonderful evening last night at the Apollo. I didn't know the play before, to my shame, but it blew me away. The subject matter follows Miller's usual preoccupation of the past bearing down on the present, and Sean Holmes's realistic production was impeccable. I loved Warren Mitchell's showy turn, of course, but it's Larry Lamb who should be up there when the Oliviers are given out next year. What a beathtaking performance he gives; his scenes with Des McAleer set me in mind of the face-offs between Ben Daniels and James Hazledine in the NT's All My Sons a while back. Bravos all round. starstarstarstarstarWonderful stuff! This is what theatre is really all about. It makes you think, it makes you laugh, and it makes you want to cry. Great performances from all - especially Larry Lamb who was quietly magnetic, except when he was being heartwrenchingly angry. The writing is so true, and the performances and direction so "right" that I didn't know whether I was empathising with the characters (weirdly with all of them) or vice versa. I unreservedly recommend you to go and see this enriching performance. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (81.128.210.30)24 Sep 03
starstarstarstarstarI saw this in previews the other day and thought it was fantastic. I love Arthur Miller anyway but hadn't seen a production of this. It was excellent. Warren Mitchell was very good as the appriaser but I really thought Larry Lamb was outstanding. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (82.35.62.168)12 Sep 03
starstarstarstarstarOne of the very best productions of an Arthur Miller play ever staged in the UK - on a par with the National Theatre's 'Death of a Salesman' (also with Warren Mitchell) and more recent 'All My Sons'. All four performances are magnificent. The staging and design serve the play perfectly. You leave the theatre deeply satisfied, exhilarated and priveledged to be able to experience work of this quality. If you are at all interested in drama, you must not miss this. Whoever has had the good sense (and nerve) to transfer this from the Trycicle to the West End deserves our support. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (212.211.99.43)12 Sep 03
