starstarstarstarstarGreat play with marvelous performances. I'm recommending it to all my friends. - USER: Whatsonstage.com19 Jul 02
starstarstarstarI had read some pretty bad reviews about this play, however I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was impressed by all the performances, particularly Neil Pearson who is a favourite of mine! I disagree with the critics who said it is dated, and will certainly be recommending it to other people... - USER: Whatsonstage.com17 Jul 02
starstarstarstarstarI really loved this play. Not only did it have meaning, it also had subtle humor. The acting was great. Every actor performed well. Anyone wanting an enjoyable evening of sophisticated comedy should see Benefactors. - USER: Whatsonstage.com14 Jul 02
starstarstarstarI thought the piece was a penetrating analysis of parallels between personal and professional creationa and destruction. The debate about how humans relate to one another - through personal and professional issues - remains as relevant as ever. I was confused by the costumes - it was not clear that the characters were meant to be in the late 1960s or mid-1980s. - USER: Whatsonstage.com12 Jul 02
starReally poor play and was nearly empty and not surprised how they think people will be daft enough £35 for this very short boring play is beyond me. I paid £15 and felt robbed! - USER: Whatsonstage.com10 Jul 02
starstarstarstarstarThis is a great show with excellent dialogue and very strong performances. It is as relevant today as it was when it was written. What's more, I went with a group organised by Whatsonstage.com and the cast came to join us for drinks afterwards. I really loved the play. - USER: Whatsonstage.com04 Jul 02
starstarstarstarstarI thought it was fab, really enjoyable evening. emma chambers and aiden gillett were the best and i got to meet them both at the drinks afterwards - I went on the wos outing last night. great! - USER: Whatsonstage.com04 Jul 02
starstarNice cast on paper but shame about the play. So dated. Why revive this? - USER: Whatsonstage.com26 Jun 02
starYawn!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com26 Jun 02
starstarstarstarstarI really loved it, very subtle but thought provoking and illuminated by some beautiful performances. - USER: Whatsonstage.com26 Jun 02
starI wish I could give a minus number as my rating, as this show certainly deserved it. It was dire - bad, slow and dull dialogue. Drab storyline that was not at all gripping. The same phrases repeated and repeated. Not one laugh to be had. The cast did their best, but could do nothing with this sad spectacle. Several people left in the interval, and I followed shortly behind them. I will never see anything by this writer again. - USER: Whatsonstage.com25 Jun 02
