starI came away from this production feeling no sense of emotional involvement with the play at all. And when you dont get emotionally involved with Romeo and Juliet, there's summat badly wrong! - USER: Whatsonstage.com30 Aug 02
starstarWhen will actors actually talk to each other and listen. The performances in this were mediocre. I was one of the many who left at the interval with no desire to return for the diservice this production had towards a great play! - USER: Whatsonstage.com21 Aug 02
starstarstarSome nice touches in comedy, with the Nurse outstanding and a wonderfully sneering Mercutio. Final scene a wonderful vision in the evening open-air with lanterns and candles illuminating dimly the mediterranean-style mausoleum set.Shame about the american-accented Juliet though, who was too sugar-sweet throughout for my taste. - USER: Whatsonstage.com15 Jul 02
starstarLifeless, need I say more. - USER: Whatsonstage.com01 Jul 02
