starstarstarstarstarOne of the best plays I have ever seen. Ron Cephas Jones and John Ortiz are outstanding in this production - raw, gritty, emotional performances that leave you shattered. I know when I've seen good theatre when I feel my heart beating as the lights go down at the end. Five stars, no question. You must not miss this one. Andrew B - USER: Whatsonstage.com13 May 02

starstarstarstarstarI saw this show at its penultimate New York performance. I was knocked by out it. It’s a good play that asks some important questions and is directed with great intensity by Philip Seymour Hoffman. I thought all the performances were wonderful, especially that of John Ortiz. It’s been nearly a year and a half since I saw it and I still think about it once in a while. I see about 60 shows a year and most of them I can barely remember six months later. I’d say don’t miss this one. This show was pretty much an underground thing in New York. There was virtually no advertising and it sold out almost every performance because of strong word of mouth. I found this show to be a very exciting evening and it’s among the best shows of the past couple of decades. You guys in London are lucky to get a chance to see it.
