What a load of pretentious, boring, leaden drivel. Totally implausible. The ending was well telegraphed. After 100 minutes of sitting through this I felt absolutely nothing for the characters or their fate. Just begrudged the fact that this apology for a play had wasted my time. Should never have even opened - let alone close early. Can we all have our money back?? - USER: Whatsonstage.com

Sad to say, but I am in full agreement - Feast of Snails has to be the worst play seen in the West End for many a year.
What possessed David Warner to make his comeback in this 90 minute piece which has nothing to say, no tension, no
mystery , no anything! I am not surprised that it is closing soon - take a tip - do not worry, you are missing nothing! - USER: Whatsonstage.com

If you want to see a pants play, catch Feast of Snails before it closes. Dreadful. Shudder. I was bitterly disappointed and am a huge fan of David Warner. But I rather enjoyed Life After George. It's flawed, as most productions are, but I've paid more money to see worse. - USER: Whatsonstage.com

It is a cruel disappointment to see David Warner, after 30 years' absence from the English stage, in a quite dreadful play. No-one should go to see this rubbish masquerading as theatre.
