Fame Tour March 2003 Cambridge
So much better than West End! Particularly strong was the ensemble, they looked as though they wanted to be there, plenty of energy. The only disapointment was the appalling sound quality of the corn exchange which meant that it was difficult to hear the words, both spoken and sung. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.253.144.177)

Saw this a few months back excellent show, (Not the most inspiring but very good all the same) Particularly went to see Debbi Kurup however she was understudied, once we had gotten over the disapointment, we really enjoyed the show, And the understudy was excellent. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (149.254.120.136)

I saw the production last night in Hull and even though I enjoyed the show, I enjoyed it more the first time I saw it in 1997 on its first orginal tour. Obviously this production has had several cut backs and where are all the finishing touches and the polish it had orignally? We had neon lights, great set and magical effects. I have not seen the new London production as yet but it is most likely that they have taken the original touring set to London and made a cheaper version to take on tour. This remains to be seen! - USER: Whatsonstage.com

Bradford (22nd June) WOW!!!! This nearly topped to be my favourite production (nothing can beat Miss Saigon - Manchester, in my eyes)! The cast were absolutley sensational! I have performed in an amateur production of this show and I therefore know the limits of the script, however, this new version veers away from the cliches of the script with new jokes at every turn. The opening number was a little disappointing, but fantastic renditions of 'Let's Play A Love Scene', 'Dancin' On The Side Walk', 'These are My Children' and of course, the Fame Finale more than made up for this. Particularly commendable were Paul Spicer and the girl playing Serena; what could be an out-dated, boring romance was turned into a modern tale of passion. Can't wait to see it again in Leeds! - USER: Whatsonstage.com

Got to see this fabulous show at the Theatre Royal Norwich on Tuesday night would strongly recommend it to anyone the cast are fabulous, as is the choreography, music and lighting. One minor criticism the sound needs a bit of adjusting but this may be a theatre specific problem? - USER: Whatsonstage.com
