starstarJust sat through this in Cheltenham. Sorry, what a load of rubbish! You can't hear anything when people are shouting over each other. The accents were dreadful. I'm NEVER going to another play by this author. What a waste of money. I enjoyed the first Act, when people were not apeaking over each other, especially watching Gret's acting, and Pope Joan. Perhaps I need a narrative? You know, a story line to keep your interest. - Clare08 Feb 12
starstarAbsolutely. People on either side of me fell asleep at different times and I don't blame them. The odd arresting moment but in general the acting was poor and uninvolving (as mentioned, even the accents were often risible and distracting). Still, what can you do with such a banal, witless, and tedious play that takes a long time to say nothing much? - Duncan05 Feb 12
starstarJust sat through this in Bury St Edmunds on the next stop on the tour and puzzled as to why its received such plaudits. Dire acting and a bemused audience as the script goes nowhere slowly - Chris31 Jan 12
starstarstarI'm so glad to see that I was not the only person who winced their way through the appalling regional accents in this production. I found the play raised some important questions, but the execution of it was really poor. - Stella Bell26 Jan 12
