WOS Radio: Duncan James & Never Forget BandDate: 6 August 2007
In the latest Whatsonstage.com Radio podcast, Roger Foss meets Duncan James backstage at the Cambridge Theatre, where he is currently making his West End debut as Billy Flynn in Chicago. The ex-Blue boyband member and recording star talks about overcoming first night jitters, playing in summer rep before he became famous and how he very nearly took over the role of Fiyero in Wicked. Also, meet Craige Els, Eaton James, Dean Chisnal, Tim Driesen and Stephane Anelli, the five stars of Never Forget, the new musical about the members of the world’s most unlikeliest Take That tribute band. Never Forget recently received its world premiere at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, before playing at the King’s Theatre Glasgow, the Opera House Manchester, the Regent Theatre Stoke-on-Trent and the King’s Theatre Edinburgh. It’s tipped for a future London transfer.
