WOS Radio: Liam Mower’s Farewell Billy Interview

Date: 25 September 2006

In the latest Whatsonstage.com Radio podcast, Roger Foss meets 14-year-old Liam Mower, who explains why he’s returning to his family and his home town of Hull to begin studying for his GCSE’s after performing the title role in Billy Elliot - The Musical for the final time at the West End’s Victoria Palace on Saturday 30 September 2006, when he will hand over his ballet shoes and boxing gloves to the next generation of Billys in the multi award-winning musical.

Elton John and Lee Hall’s musical received its world premiere in March 2005, directed by Stephen Daldry. Since it opened, it has been seen by almost one million people, playing to full houses at the Victoria Palace where it has broken box office records.
