Danny Mac and Carley Stenson to star in Sleepless the Musical

Danny Mac and Carley Stenson will star in the world premiere of Sleepless, a musical based on the film Sleepless in Seattle.

The pair will play the lead roles of Sam, who moves to Seattle with his eight year-old son after the death of his wife, and journalist Annie. The original 1993 film starred Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, and was nominated for two Oscars.

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Mac has previously appeared in Les Misérables whilst Stenson's theatre credits include Shrek the Musical and Legally Blonde. They will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 1 April.

The cast also includes Jennie Dale (Elf) as Becky and Cory English (She Loves Me) as Rob.

The musical will have a book by Michael Burdett, music by Robert Scott and lyrics by Brendan Cull.

Sleepless the Musical will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 1 April, before touring to Manchester and Dublin.
