1st Night Photos: Great Expectations gala performanceDate: 8 February 2013Last night (7 February 2013) saw a gala performance of Great Expectations which was broadcast to cinemas to celebrate Charles Dickens' birthday. Great Expectations has been adapted for the stage by Scottish playwright Jo Clifford, and is directed by Graham McLaren. Cast includes Jack Ellis as Jaggers, Chris Ellison as Magwitch, Paul Nivison as Adult Pip and Paula Wilcox as Miss Havisham. Guests at the gala performance included costume designer Annie Gosney, Jim Broadbent, Rosamund Pike, Tim McInnerny, Paul Gambaccini, Anneka Rice, Simon Callow and Christopher Biggins.
