1st Night Photos: Donmar Trafalgar season shows PromiseDate: 20 November 2012The final Donmar Trafalgar season opened last night (19 November 2012) with a revival of Aleksei Arbuzov's Russian classic The Promise. The play is set during the siege of Leningrad in 1943, where three teenagers are thrown together by history. Using a new version by Penelope Skinner (The Village Bike), the production is directed by Alex Sims who was the Resident Assistant Director (RAD) at the Donmar from 2007-2008. Running until 8 December 2012, the cast features Max Bennett, Gwilym Lee and Joanna Vanderham.
