Our House Gala Concert

Held on Remembrance Sunday in aid of Help for Heroes, the gala concert marked the tenth anniversary of the show, which was first staged at the Cambridge Theatre.

Our House Gala Concert

Featuring some of Madness' most memorable songs including "Our House", "Baggy Trousers", "My Girl", "Embarrassment", "The Sun and The Rain", "Driving In My Car" and "It Must Be Love", the show is about Joe Casey, who becomes involved in petty crime, and follows the different directions his life could have taken.

The gala concert was directed by original director Matthew Warchus and featured Madness frontman Suggs as Joe's Dad. Original cast member Tameka Empson reprised her role of Billie, and other original cast joined in including Matt Cross, Paul Kemble and Gavin Wilkinson. Other cast members included Chris Carswell as Joe, Miria Parvin as Sarah, Wendi Peters as Joe's mum, Alistair McGowan, Jack Shalloo, David Fynn and Jenny Fitzpatrick.

Director Matthew Warchus - who has since helmed award-winning shows such as Matilda and Ghost - then talked about the short (ten-day) rehearsal process that the concert had had and thanked all of the cast.
