Photos: Sheridan Smith leads Old Vic's Hedda Gabler

Production photos have been released for the Old Vic's new production of Hedda Gabler starring Whatsonstage.com Award winner (and host) Sheridan Smith in the title role.

Opening tonight (12 September 2012, previews from 5 September), the production is directed by Anna Mackmin and marks the second ‘straight’ play Smith has tackled in the West End following her Olivier Award-winning turn in Flare Path at the Theatre Royal Haymarket last year.

Smith is joined in the cast by [Buffy Davis] (Bertha), Anne Reid (Juliana Tesman), Adrian Scarborough (George Tesman), [Fenella Woolgar] (Thea Elvsted), Daniel Lapaine (Loevborg) and Darrel D'Silva (Judge Brack).
