Photos: Vanessa Kirby rehearses Young Vic Three Sisters

Date: 5 September 2012

Rehearsal shots have been released from the upcoming production of Chekhov's Three Sisters at the Young Vic.

Playing the hot-headed sisters are Vanessa Kirby as Masha, Mariah Gale as Olga and Gala Gordon as Irinia. Set in a remote Russian town, the three sisters yearn for the adrenaline rush of life in Moscow but through the trials and tribulations, each twist of fate sees the sisters’ control of their destiny fall apart.

Visionary director Benedict Andrews, returns to the Young Vic after his The Return of Ulysses in 2011 with Chekhov’s classic while renowned German designer Johannes Schutz makes his Young Vic debut. The play opens on 13 September (previews from 8 September) and runs for a month.
