Winners are announced tonight (15 April 2012) in the 36th annual Olivier Awards, one of the biggest and most star-studded dates in the theatrical calendar, which took place at the Royal Opera House.

The Olivier Awards ceremony is hosted for the second year by Sweeney Todd co-stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton, and also includes Special Award presentations to British lyricist Tim Rice and outgoing Royal Ballet director Monica Mason.

In addition to nominees and winners, guest presenters include: Hayley Atwell, Douglas Booth, Zach Braff, Jim Carter, Tom Chambers, Tyne Daly, Jack Davenport, Agyness Deyn, Jonathan Edwards, Susannah Fielding, Vittorio Grigolo, Lenny Henry, Ronan Keating, Katherine Kelly, Harry Lloyd, James McAvoy, Natascha McElhone, Laurie Metcalf, Elaine Paige, Dan Stevens, Patrick Stewart, David Suchet, Kara Tointon, Will Young, Zoe Wanamaker, Jodie Whittaker and Barbara Windsor.
