1st Night Photos: Miss Daisy Bows at Wyndham'sDate: 6 October 2011 Acting legends Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones received a rapturous reception at Wyndham's Theatre last night (5 October 2011, previews from 26 September) following the press performance of Driving Miss Daisy, which transfers to the West End following its run on Broadway earlier this year.
Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play centres on the decades-long relationship between a stubborn Southern matriarch and her compassionate chauffeur. It was famously adapted into an Oscar-winning film in 1989 starring Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman.
Other guests last night included Adam Garcia, Luke Treadaway, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Rose Leslie, Alan Titchmarsh and James Earl Jones' wife Cecilia Hart.
