Photos: First Pic of Kimberley Walsh as Shrek's Princess FionaDate: 22 September 2011 Producers have today (22 September 2011) released the first image of Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh in costume as Princess Fiona for her upcoming debut in Shrek The Musical. Walsh takes over from Amanda Holden who announced in August she is pregnant. Holden, who originated the part at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, will play her final performance on 3 October, two months earlier than planned. Walsh takes over the role from 5 October 2011. Kimberley Walsh is a member of Girls Aloud, one of the UK's most successful pop groups, alongside Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding. She joins current cast members Nigel Lindsay as the lonely ogre, alongside Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad and Richard Blackwood as Donkey in Jason Moore and Rob Ashford's production. Below we've got the first image to be released of Walsh in costume as Princess Fiona, as well as an earlier publicity photo.
