Joe Harmston and Ray Goudie's new musical The Prodigals is currently playing an Edinburgh Fringe run in the Gilded Balloon Teviot's Debating Hall. The show stars Lucie Jones who rose to fame appearing on ITV's X Factor and has since spent a year playing Cosette in the West End production of Les Miserables.

The musical follows two brothers; one leading a high-risk life of excess and success with his band, while the other is a member of the army's Scottish Regiment. When one of the men falls into trouble, it is up to their father to deal with the disastrous consequences.

The musical, which is nominated in the Best Production category at this year's Musical Theatre Matters Awards, runs until 29 August 2011.
