Photos: Fox & Williams Prepare to Premiere Forest

Date: 18 February 2011

Lost's Matthew Fox and Olivia Williams star in the world premiere of Neil LaBute's In a Forest, Dark and Deep which opens at the Vaudeville Theatre on 14 March (previews from 3 March 2011) playing a limited season until 4 June.

The production marks a rare stage appearance, as well as the UK debut, for Fox and the West End debut for Williams, who has previously led productions at the National, Barbican, Donmar Warehouse and Royal Shakespeare Company but never in the commercial sector.

Below we've got rehearsal shots from the upcoming production, described in marketing material as a "dark comedy of sibling rivalry escalates into a psychological thriller bursting with savage conflict".

Directed by Neil LaBute, In a Forest, Dark and Deep is designed by Soutra Gilmour with lighting design Mark Henderson and sound by Fergus O'Hare.

LaBute’s other plays mounted on the West End include Some Girls, The Shape of Things and, most recently, Fat Pig, which won the Whatsonstage.com Award for Best New Comedy. His first Broadway outing Reasons to Be Pretty premiered in 2008. In addition to his stage work, LaBute is also well known for his screen writing and directing. His film credits include In the Company of Men, Your Friends and Neighbors and The Wicker Man.

We are hosting a Whatsonstage.com Outing to In a Forest, Dark and Deep on 9 March 2011 with a top-price ticket, a FREE programme and our EXCLUSIVE post-show Q&A with the company - all for only £25. The outing is currently SOLD OUT but you can click here to join the waiting list in case of cancellations.
