1st Night Photos: Stafford-Clark & Imrie Get MixedDate: 13 November 2009Max Stafford-Clark's Out of Joint company made a welcome return to the capital last night (12 November 2009), bringing their Celia Imrie-led production of Mixed Up North to the historic Wilton's Music Hall. Written by Robin Soans and based on real events in Burnley, Mixed Up North follows Trish, who has set up a theatre group for Asian and white teenagers. She brings in a director - the harassed and heavily pregnant Bella - who struggles to share her artistic vision with this disaffected group of young people. As they reach the final dress rehearsal, tensions rise and bonds fracture. But then the theatre group begin to use their own compelling stories.
TO SCROLL THROUGH ALL OF MIXED UP NORTH’s 1st NIGHT PHOTOS, Mixed Up North continues until 5 December.
