1st Night Photos: Pythons Get Naughty at FortyDate: 26 October 2009Eric Idle's Life of Brian musical adaptation Not the Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) - billed as “like Handel only funnier” - was remounted at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday (23 October) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Monty Python broadcast. The evening featured four of the original gang - Messrs Jones, Gilliam, Idle and Palin – as well as several new faces, including recent West End King Arthur Sanjeev Bhaskar. Replete with lumberjacks, dead parrots and a sing-along “Bright Side of Life”, the evening, accompanied by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, provided fans with a plethora of Python nostalgia.
