1st Night Photos: Nancys Do Anything for Women

Date: 25 June 2008

Amy Booth-Steel may have been the first Nancy voted off BBC One’s I’d Do Anything, but – more happily – last night (24 June 2008, previews from 18 June) she also became the first to open in a West End musical since finding fame on the TV series. She stars in the new musical sex comedy, All Bob's Women, which is booking for a limited ten-week season at the Arts Theatre (See News, 8 May 2008).

Most of Booth-Steel’s one-time competitors and fellow finalists from I’d Do Anything – including Samantha, Francesca, Sarah, Niamh, Jessie, Cleo, Rachel, Keisha and eventual winner Jodie Prenger, who will make her West End debut playing Nancy in Oliver! in January – were on-hand to offer congratulations on her big night.

In All Bob's Women, Casanova Bob is a man on a mission: to seduce five very different women and manage to keep them apart so they don't become aware of all his other conquests. As part of his plan, he resorts to extreme measures to learn their secret desires.

Booth-Steel is joined in the cast by Whatsonstage.com Award nominee Nicole Faraday as well as Sharon Cherry Ballard, Danielle Corlass, Tanya Robb, Lucy Thatcher and, playing Bob, Sam Oatley. The musical is written by TV composer Romy Padovano and directed by Russell Labey, with set by Jason Denvir, lighting by Mike Robertson and musical arrangements and direction by Sacha Puttnam.
