1st Night Photos: Chalmers Dreams at Palladium
Date: 18 February 2008

There were Josephs all over the place last night (Sunday 17 February 2008) at the London Palladium as Craig Chalmers and several of his fellow contestants from TV’s Any Dream Will Do reunited for a one-off concert following the release of their album Dream On.

Chalmers was joined in performance by Johndeep More, Lewis Bradley, Antony Hansen, Chris Barton, Robert McVeigh, Chris Crosby and Seamus Cullen, all of whom competed last spring with eventual victor Lee Mead on Any Dream Will Do to win the starring role in the current West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

The boys weren’t the only ones having a reality TV reunion at last night’s event. Connie Fisher also took to the stage and, at the post-show party at the Kempinski Hotel, met up with her one-time How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? contender Siobhan Dillon, now in the West End herself in Grease.

Chalmers is currently appearing in the title role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat along with Chris Barton as youngest brother Benjamin. The touring production is presented by Bill Kenwright, who was also one of the judges on Any Dream Will Do and who has produced Dream On. The album contains versions of “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door to Me” from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical as well as “Dream On”, a song written specially by Geoff Morrow.

For Photos, our Whatsonstage.com photographer Dan Wooller was on hand for the Dream On performance at the London Palladium and at the post-show party, along with the performers, Bill Kenwright and fellow guests including Jess Conran, Anthony Andrews, David Dein, Carole Caplin, Jenny Seagrove and Michael Barrymore.
