Show Pics: Pilkington & Tompsett Join Wicked Cast

Date: 5 July 2007

Whatsonstage.com is pleased to bring you the latest production images of the new West End cast of Wicked, who start performances at the Apollo Victoria Theatre from Monday 16 July 2007.

Below you can scroll through production shots of the new cast, including Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett as Fiyero and Andy Mace as Doctor Dillamond, who join Kerry Ellis (Elphaba), Susie Blake (Madame Morrible), Nigel Planer (The Wizard), James Gillan (Boq) and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose) in the Stephen Schwartz musical, which won the 2007 Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Award for Superbreak Best New Musical.

Wicked tells the “untold story” of the Witches of Oz - popular blonde Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, and her spin-victim friend Elphaba, the green-skinned Wicked Witch of the West – who were both immortalised in the 1939 film classic The Wizard of Oz. The show has a book by Winnie Holzman, based on Gregory Maguire’s novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It is directed by Joe Mantello and designed by Eugene Lee.
