George's Marvellous Medicine

George’s Marvellous Medicine, by Roald Dahl and adapted by David Wood brings to life on stage Dahl’s amazing story about a young boy who makes a marvellous new medicine to cure his grandmother of her terrifying temper. But when his grandmother drinks his special new potion, the most incredible things story to happen. And George’s adventure has just begun!

The Birmingham Stage Company is back on tour with this new adaptation of one of Roald Dhal’s funniest and most exciting stories, which was first published in 1981.This will be the seventh Dahl Christmas show that Birmingham Stage Company have presented – all have been hugely popular and the company hope to break their own box office records with this their latest on tour throughout 2010. BSC are one of the country’s most successful theatre companies performing stage versions of many children’s classic books with hit stage shows like Horrible Histories, Danny the Champion of the World and The Jungle Book.

George’s Marvellous Medicine is at the Manchester Opera House from Monday 20 – Wednesday 22 February. Mon 7pm, Tues & Wed 10.30am & 1.30pm. Tickets £10.50 & £15.50.
