WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

I>X&Y tells the story of two people trapped in a universe they don't understand, navigating the known and unknown reaches of their world and confronted for the first time by another human being. This unconventional love story uses humour and mathematics to explore some of the biggest philosophical and scientific questions we ask ourselves.

Directed by Dermot Keaney, X&Y stars renowned mathematician, author and TV presenter Marcus du Sautoy alongside Complicite actress and mathematician Victoria Gould as algebraic variables X and Y. X&Y was initially developed in association with award-winning theatre company Complicite and created by Marcus and Victoria following their collaboration on Complicite's acclaimed show A Disappearing Number. Running time: 70mins (no interval)
