Indhu Rubasingham's production of Moira Buffini's Handbagged is careful, clever and enjoyable, and features a stand-out performance from Fenella Woolgar
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The monarch - Liz. Her most powerful subject - Maggie. Handbags, hairspray and sensible shoes. One believed there was no such thing as society. The other had vowed to serve it. Handbagged opens the clasp on the antipathy between two giants of the twentieth century.
Based on the critically-acclaimed short play from Women, Power & Politics (Tricycle, 2010)
