Italian Wedding Returns to London Post-Edinburgh

Off-Broadway ‘play with songs’ My Big Gay Italian Wedding will return to London’s Above the Stag venue following its current run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Written by Anthony J Wilkinson, the show premiered off-Broadway in 2003 at the Actor’s Playhouse in New York, returning in a revised version in 2009.

Andrew and Anthony are getting married – and everyone wants to “help”. My Big Gay Italian Wedding spins into a “hysterical fiasco as everyone tries to have their way”.

The Edinburgh production, which is directed by Paul Taylor-Mills, is at C Venues until 22 August, and will transfer to Above the Stag in Victoria (where it held Edinburgh previews) from 25 September to 10 October 2011 (Sundays and Mondays only).

This production marks My Big Gay Italian Wedding‘s European premiere.
