Five Reasons to See … Dinner Theatre with The Milk Club

Spilt Milk Theatre are bringing Edwardian-style dinner theatre back to the capital with their brand new show at east London venue Proud Cabaret, The Milk Club, which premieres this Wednesday (28 July).

The Milk Club features three short new plays, alongside comedy from rapidly rising duo Bob & Jim and some special burlesque treats. You can enjoy all of this whilst ordering from the Proud Cabaret dinner and/or cocktail menu and sitting sociably with your fellow theatre-goers and friends.

Spilt Milk Theatre prodcuer and director Nicola Rockhill gives us five good reasons to go along…

1. Do something unique
The Milk Club is the only dinner-theatre event currently available in London. A brilliantly sociable event, Spilt Milk Theatre invite you to dine whilst you watch and enjoy the wonderfully warm and informal atmosphere of theatre with food. A truly unique experience.

2. Check out new writing
Chosen from over 500 submissions during the past two years, The Milk Club showcases the fantastic new writing work of three of the finest contemporary writers working in theatre today. Three truly original, touching and hilarious pieces telling quick and quirky tales.

3. Experience variety
The Milk Club is a totally original fusion evening of theatre, food, comedy and dance in an informal but glamorous cabaret setting. Renowned comedy duo and YouTube sensation ‘Bob & Jim’, plus Proud Cabaret’s very own Burlesque beauties appear as special guests throughout the show, adding a little sparkle and starlight to the evening.

4. Join the family
Spilt Milk Theatre has a large following on the fringe circuit which is expanding all the time due to the intimate nature of their productions and the lack of division between the company and their audiences. Meet the organisers, chat to the directors and share an after-show drink with the performers as Spilt Milk Theatre make theatre-going a personal, sociable and inclusive experience for everybody.

5. Laugh the night away
Spilt Milk Theatre are masters at their game. They received five star reviews for both of their previous productions and have been credited as ‘Comedy Theatre at its finest’. Let the quality of the performances, the material and the ideas tempt you along for a night that you will not forget.

The Milk Club‘s first season runs on Wednesday 28 July, 25 August and 29 September at Proud Cabaret,

1 Mark Lane, London, EC3R 7AH. It costs £10 a ticket (show only), or £24.50 for a ticket including
a three course meal.
