Flora transfers from Rose & Crown to Landor this summer

All Star Productions revival of Kander and Ebb’s Flora the Red Menace is transferring from Ye Olde Rose and Crown to the Landor Theatre for a limited run of three weeks this summer. The production stars Katy Baker, Ellen Verenieks and Simon Ouldred and is directed by Randy Smartnick.

Baker plays Flora Mezaros, a struggling fashion designer in the age of the Great Depression. While working for a department store, she meets the love of her life who attempts to convert Flora to his Communist ideals. While this compromises her job, she tries to find a way to keep both her career and her relationship.

The songs are written by award winning team of John Kander and Fred Ebb, whose other credits include The Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Chicago. Not seen professionally in London for over 17 years ago, Flora the Red Menace will play at the Landor from 26 June to 14 July 2012.
