At the age of eight Chantel became the youngest person in the country to pass a Rock school exam and at 12, she was jamming in her native Bradford and evolving into an incredible musician. Described as a prodigy, at 14 Chantel was told by major labels "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Wisely ignoring that advice, she enrolled at the world-renowned Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college's history, to achieve a 100% pass mark, with 18 distinctions. Chantel left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, for outstanding musicianship.
When a theatre is 'dark' it means that it is closed. This may be temporary, e.g. between shows, or it may be semi-permanent, e.g. when it is closed for refurbishment (sometimes it is uncertain when this happens whether it will actually open again) and sometimes it means that the theatre is completely out to action, lost or gone!

Is there really such a thing as a hillbilly band covering hard rock classics? You betcha. They're called Hayseed Dixie and they play Rockgrass. Kiss, Outcast, Led Zeppelin, Scissor Sisters, Darkness and Aerosmith get the Rockgrass treatment, and it's an irresistable sound! With fiddle, guitars, mandolin and banjo this hillbilly foursome is an awesome live band who have released 8 albums and live DVD entitled 'No Sleep 'til Liverpool'. Hayseed Dixie songs cover the four key elements of any song worth playing; - Drinkin', Cheatin', Killin' and going to Hell!
Texas-born, New York City-based songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson's slightly spooky melodies and lyrics invoke a mid-Western post-war America, when cars ran on leaded gas, television hadn't yet kidnapped the country's imagination, and men wore hats every day. His reflective lyrics, almost like hand-written letters, remind us that human stories of lost love, sudden fortune, and abiding mystery transcend the decades... and nothing is better or worse right now than it's ever been.

Have you ever made a joke on Twitter that accidently came out wrong and as a consequence you have been torn apart by a crazy mob? Have you ever committed a workplace transgression and now you've got the terrible feeling that someone is onto you? Jon Ronson has. Actually Jon Ronson hasn't. Just kidding. Jon Ronson hasn't done anything wrong. However, he's spent the past three years with people who have - documenting the destruction close up. And now he's ready to tell the tale. It's a story about how we've become soldiers in a war on human nature and its flaws - and how there's been an escalation in hostilities.
