Al Murray is the pub landlord who holds forth on all manner of topics, waxing wide about the state of the world with all the skewed logic of a bar room philosopher. Anyone who has spent even the smallest amount of time in a pub will recognise these immaculate observations of British pub culture.
Publican. Politician. Other thing beginning with P. Philosopher, yeah, that. The nation's critically acclaimed bar-based-braveheart, Al Murray - The Pub Landlord embarks on a common sense crusade to re-Great Britain in his brand new show. We live in troubling times. Europe. The NHS. Whatever the hell is going on in the Middle East. The gathering storm of fortnightly bin collections? Who knows where it will all end? Watch the one man who will answer the call of destiny even though it's an unlisted number. Watch the one man who will call time on tyranny even though he isn't quite sure what it means. Watch the one man who isn't afraid to say no to women ordering anything other than a glass of white wine (or fruit based drink).
Angelos Epithemiou (BBC 2 Shooting Stars) and Barry From Watford (BBC Radio 2 Steve Wright) come together to discuss how to succeed in business, where they think corporations have got it right and wrong and the direction in which the financial sector is headed. But mostly they will be discussing the bookies, Londis, Crimewatch, their balls, if you can claim benefits in space, whether or not Kim Jong Un cuts his own hair and how Ban Ki Moon once nearly lost The UN in a poker game.
Basically, a fella with gaffer tape over his mouth doesn't bode well for an evening of comedy. But this exciting one-man show from New Zealand is attracting attention across the globe. Strikingly original and an absolute delight to watch, this is one of the most innovative and downright hilarious shows for years. There's no 'walking into the wind' or 'stuck in a glass box' here, but somehow, Sam Wills manages to get loads of laughs from his comic skill alone. Unique!
Fresh from sell-out shows all over the world, join TAPE FACE as he conjures uproarious & moving tableaux using only the most everyday of objects and the most popular of songs. Visually stunning, heart-stopping, and hilarious - you'll laugh, you'll cry, and when it's all over you'll be completely lost for words.

What a load of old s**t."

Alex Horne has gathered some of the UK's finest jazz musicians and mixed them with the most exciting comics in the country to create some unique and hilarious noises. It's jazz-infused comedy, late, live and loud - part improvised, part horned, part performance, part party. Horne can normally be found lurking behind a laptop on things like BBC4's We Need Answers but for this show he'll be wearing a suit and singing songs. His band usually tour with Madness (and Girls Aloud) but now they're riffing to the rhythm of comedy backed by some truly great comics. Much more than stand up, much more than music, this is the Horne Section. Premiering in Edinburgh in 2010, The Horne Section has since enjoyed sell-out runs at the Soho Theatre, Union Chapel and Lyric Theatre in the West End. The Horne Section has also played at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
