Penny Arcade transfers to Old Vic Tunnels care of Time Out Live

Date: 24 July 2012

Penny Arcade's show Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore! Is transferring to the Old Vic Tunnels from 10 August 2012 (previews from 8 August) following a successful run at the Arcola Tent in Dalston.

Arcade has been causing a stir on the performance art scene since the 1960s. She began performing in live theatre events and films in New York when still a teenager and has been performing solo monologues since the 1980s.

A celebration of sex, freedom, comedy, politics and art, the show features monologues performed by Penny Arcade  punctuated with an "audience dance break" and erotic go-go dancing.

Hamish Jenkinson, Director of The Old Vic Tunnels said, “Penny Arcade’s request that we ‘adore and endure each other’ is a message that needs to be shouted from the rooftops, so we’re incredibly excited to welcome this show to The Old Vic Tunnels.”

Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore! runs at the Old Vic Tunnels until 1 September. It's being produced in association with Time Out Live, the live performance arm of Whatsonstage.com's owners Time Out.

Producer Jeremy Goldstein said: “London audiences and critics alike have embraced the show’s joyful message of love and tolerance. Together with Time Out Live we have brought together an exceptional company and are incredibly excited and proud to be able to bring it to London’s leading underground arts venue.”
