Children invited to audition for Lowry's White Christmas, 25 Sept

Date: 4 September 2012

The festive seasonal musical Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical returns to The Lowry, Salford Quays, in November until January and the producers are looking for 3 girls to alternately play the part of Susan, the General’s grand-daughter.

On Saturday 22 September, the production team will be at The Lowry, Salford Quays, holding auditions. They are looking for three girls who will be required to rehearse in Manchester or London for the part of Susan and perform during the run at The Lowry and must be  available between mid-October 2012 and Saturday 5 January 2013.

The production requires 3 girls aged between 8 – 12 years old, strictly no more than 5 ft tall and with no fixed braces. They will need to be undeveloped, with an excellent belt voice and have the ability to move well and speak in an American accent. All children must live within commutable distance of The Lowry and, if required, be prepared to travel and stay in London during the rehearsal process.

Children will be required to sing and are advised to wear comfortable clothing and to bring a passport sized photograph along to the audition.

There is NO requirement to prepare anything in advance of the audition day.

If your child was born to perform and would be suitable, come along to The Lowry, Salford Quays on Saturday 22 September at 9.30am.

Children will be seen strictly in the order in which they arrive and only a limited number of children will be able to be seen on the day, as the auditions MUST be completed by 3pm.

For any further enquiries, please contact David Bell, Tel: 08453101050.

White Christmas
runs at the Lowry from 30 November, 2012 until 5 January, 2013.
