Life In Theatre Bring Last Five Years to Liverpool, 24 July

Date: 6 July 2012

Following recent success with David Mamet's Life in the Theatre, local theatre company Life in Theatre are bringing  Tony award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years to Liverpool. Starring local actors’s Helen Carter and Stephen Fletcher, the show plays for a limited run later this month.

The show is a multi award-winning, heartbreaking and hilarious one-act musical about a New York couple who fall in and out of love over the course of five years together. Cathy is a vivacious, struggling actress- Jamie a hotshot up-and-coming novelist.  In this clever way of storytelling, Cathy’s story begins at the end of their relationship, and Jamie’s starts at the beginning.

Starring Helen Carter (Once Upon a Time at The Adelphi, The Gatekeeper) and Stephen Fletcher (A Life In The Theatre, Eric’s, and A Streetcar Named Desire), this poignant and emotionally powerful production is produced by Life In Theatre Productions, who brought Mamet’s critically-acclaimed A Life in the Theatre to The Actor’s Studio in March this year, starring Andrew Schofield.

The Last Five Years is at the Actor's Studio Theatre from 24 July - 3 August.
