Norfox stage Was It Something I Said? at Capitol, 13 April

Date: 3 April 2012

The norfox Young People’s Theatre Company, The Library Theatre’s resident theatre company for young people aged between 15-18, returns to Manchester Metropolitan University’s Capitol Theatre with Was It Something I Said?, devised the company, and directed by Liz Postlethwaite, the Library Theatre Company’s Community and Education Director.

Described as a theatrical adventure exploring how in a world full of confused messages you can express what you want to and make your voice heard, Was It Something I Said? is their seventh production.

Recent norfox members have been accepted on drama courses at RADA, the Oxford School of Theatre, ALRA, and the Central School of Speech and Drama. Another recent norfox member appeared in The Wind in the Willows, the Library Theatre Company’s hit Christmas 2011 production at The Lowry.

“Our shows at the Capitol Theatre give young people an excellent opportunity to show off their talent,” says Liz Postlethwaite. “The company offers the chance for young people interested in the theatre to develop their skills in a professional theatre environment, and the recent success of our students gaining places at some of the country’s most prestigious drama schools illustrates the high standard the company is achieving with its activities.”

Was It Something I Said? is at the Capitol Theatre from 13 - 14 April.
