Powder Monkey Back at RET, ManchesterDate: 30 May 2011 Following huge success at the Royal Exchange Studio last year, Amanda Dalton's new play Powder Monkey returns to the family friendly venue.
Stella and AK are 12 years old. AK’s a soldier; Stella has battles of her own. Maybe that’s why she goes to her secret place, and why she strikes a deal with the stupid kid Worm. But peace is hard and there’s definitely something in the woods. It’s watching them. And it’s getting closer…..
Powder Monkey is a play about being at war and making peace, about friendship and territory, about children in an adult world and children in a world without adults.
Directed by Matt Peover and designed by James Cotterill the production runs at the RET Studio from 31 May - 18 June.
