RET Studio Stage Festive Treat Tin Soldier

Date: 26 November 2010

The Royal Exchange Theatre offer audiences an alternative to Pantomimes this Christmas with a classic tale based on a Hans Christian Anderson story. The Tin Soldier - suitable for ages 7+ explores the adventures of a tiny toy hero.

“He may be made of tin, He may have lost one limb,
But in his heart he knows, that if steadfast he stands, and steadfast he stares,
At the one that he loves, Then all will be fine in the end…………..”
Or will it?

Join our Steadfast Tin Soldier and his friends on an amazing magical, musical, mysterious journey. Chased by an evil goblin, threatened by a monstrous rat, swallowed by an enormous fish - he travels helter skelter towards his appointment with destiny- through thick and thin and even thicker - until he reaches his final destination!!! But be warned my friends - It may all end in tears!

This Festive production is from the award-winning team whose previous productions include Hood In The Wood and A Tasty Tale. The piece is written by Noel Grieg, performed by Gary Lagden and directed and composed by Lewis Gibson.

Tin Soldier runs at the Royal Exchange Theatre's Studio space from 14 December 2010 - 1 January, 2011.
